Antoinette
Birdsong

arts

Howard
University
and

master’s
degree
in
education
from
Kent
State
University.
Her
teaching
experiences
as
Assistant
Professor
of
Art
at
Wilberforce
University
has
helped
Toni
to
become
an
active
contributor
to
the
Fine
Arts
and
design
areas.
She
has
s
corporate
research,
marketing,
and
management
experiences
with
the
Tribune
Company
located
in
Chicago,
Illinois
and
Continental
Telephone
in
Atlanta,
Georgia
has
given
her
a
corporate
background
and
the
business
training
to
become
successful
in
all
endeavors
involving
business.
Toni’s
training
in
the
fine
arts
began
early
while
working
under
Lois
Mailou
Jones,
one
of
America’s
most
influential
painters
and
textile
designers
of
African
and
Haitian
art.
Later,
Toni
became
Assistant
Professor
of
Art
and
taught
a
multitude
of
classes
in
the
arts.
The
commitment
to
launch
a
host
of
artistic
designs
for
the
home
furnishings
and
retail
marketplace
started
in
the
early
1980s.
She
has
always
been
passionate
about
design
and
has
a
great
love
of
art
history
and
the
Fine
Arts.
Her
bold
and
elegant
designs
have
a
distinct
and
original
voice.
The
idea
of
art,
nature,
and
architecture
fused
harmoniously
together
has
shaped
her
work
and
made
her
repeat
patterns
unique
and
distinctive.
Her
designs
have
evolved
from
her
many
travels,
constantly
on
the
lookout
for
unique
historical
references,
and
her
love
for
design,
which
she
finds
inspiring
and
beautiful.
She
has
produced
many
pieces
of
original
and
exclusive
canvas
wall
art.
Currently,
she
creates
for
her
family
business,
INJA
Ink.
INJA
Ink
is
a
surface
design
studio
that
license
and
sells
original
repeat
pattern
designs
for
the
home,
commercial
interiors,
fashion,
and
paper
markets.
Toni
is
passionate
about
bringing
clients
creative
and
novel
repeat
designs
and
canvas
wall
art
that
are
proven
sellers
for
the
marketplace.
She
has
displayed
and
sold
canvas
wall
art
with
the
African
American
Visual
Artists
Guild’s
Black
Heritage
Through
Visual
Rhythm
Art
Exhibit
at
the
Dayton
Art
Institute.
She
is
the
author
of
a
coloring
book
illustrated
with
her
golf
designs
which
is
sold
on
Amazon.
INJA
Ink
participated
in
the
Printsource
and
Surtex
Textile
and
Surface
Design
tradeshows.
Toni
is
constantly
working
as
an
exhibitor,
artist,
and
business
owner
in
the
New
York
shows
and
is
selling
and
licensing
original
artwork.
