To Become Balanced, You Must Be Still First

The internal journey of self-love and reflection, specifically for Black men.
Through this piece, I wanted to highlight the importance of stillness —
creating space for self-awareness, healing, and spiritual connection.
In a world that often demands constant motion and resilience,
this work calls for moments of pause, where balance can only be
achieved through quiet introspection.
Whether through wellness practices, spending time at home,
or deepening their faith, this piece is a visual representation of
how self-love manifests in different ways. The stillness in the figure is
a reminder that peace and balance come when we first take the time
to reconnect with ourselves and embrace the love we deserve.
I want to invite viewers to reflect on their own path toward balance,
encouraging a universal dialogue about finding peace within the chaos.
