paintings.
His

Alfa’s
work
is

by
bold,
exaggerated
human
figures
and
landscapes
carved
into
richly
textured
wooden
surfaces.
Using
pyrography

carving,

the
wood
to
create
dynamic
compositions
that
merge
painting,
relief,
and
sculpture.
Deeply
inspired
by
the
techniques
and
legacy
of
renowned
Ghanaian
artist
El
Anatsui,
Alfa
brings
a
contemporary
and
highly
personal
voice
to
the
tradition
of
sculptural
woodwork.
His
practice
reflects
a
balance
between
traditional
craft
and
modern
expression.
Over

years,
Alfa
has
received
notable
commissions,
including
installations
for
the
Concord
Hotel
and

Restaurant
in

craft

works
becoming
increasingly
sought
after
by
